Thomas Theyer Foundation

We support children and young people with special educational needs and those experiencing difficult life circumstances, their families/carers.

We recognise the many physical and mental health benefits of exercise and strive to increase access to exercise, in particular outdoor activities.

We also provide the opportunity for breaks for these children

and young people, their families/carers.

We support young people with mental health support through therapeutic services.

The charity was set up following the death of Thomas Samuel Theyer in 2013 and became a registered charity in 2015

The Thomas Theyer Cottage at White Hall

The foundation is working with White Hall Outdoor Centre, Buxton, Derbyshire, to provide separate accessible accommodation for residential stays.

The Thomas Theyer Support Centre, Buxton

The foundation is raising funds to buy the premises at 1 to 3 London Rd, Buxton. 1 London Rd is the home to the Thomas Theyer Shop.  The purchase will provide additional counselling  and support services facilities.

Key Achievements

2019 - Present

Over 350 children have now taken part in outdoor activities funded by TTF

2018

TTF opened the Sports and Outdoor charity shop. London Rd, Buxton helping support TTF and getting people into outdoor activities at a reasonable cost

2021 - Present

TTF Counselling Service for the High Peak area launched. We have now provided over 1900 appointments
