Thomas Theyer Foundation

We support children and young people with special educational needs and those experiencing difficult life circumstances, their families/carers.

We recognise the many physical and mental health benefits of exercise and strive to increase access to exercise, in particular outdoor activities.

We also provide the opportunity for breaks for these children

and young people, their families/carers.

We support young people with mental health support through therapeutic services.

The charity was set up following the death of Thomas Samuel Theyer in 2013 and became a registered charity in 2015

OUR WORK

Outdoor Activities

Working with established outdoor centres, our outdoor activity programmes are specially designed for the children and young people we support.  Through activities like climbing, zip-wire challenges, and nature exploration, the children are able to overcome fears, build relationships, and discover their strengths—all in a safe, supportive environment.

Counselling

Our counselling service provides much needed help for children and young people living in the High Peak area.  Many of the children we support feel isolated and face emotional challenges which impact their day to day lives.  Our counselling service is also open to the families of the children and young people we support and the wider community.

Key Achievements
