Our aim

is to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and those experiencing Difficult Life Circumstances, and their families.

We believe

in the many benefits of being outdoors and strive to provide access to outdoor activities for the children and young people we support, and respite breaks for these children and their families.

We understand

the importance of mental health in overall wellbeing but know that accessing mental health support is not always easy. It is our aim to provide mental health support when it is needed, providing counselling and wellbeing activities.

OUR CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES

Outdoor Activities

We work with schools to identify the children who would benefit most from our support and offer these children the opportunity to go on outdoor activity days. These activity days help to build physical and personal confidence in the children.

Counselling Support

We offer funded counselling for children and young people who meet out beneficiary criteria and a donation-based service for their parents and/or carers where possible. We also offer a paid for service open to the wider community.

OUR COUNSELLING AND THERAPY TEAM

All of our counsellors and therapists are registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). This is to ensure that they are highly knowledgeable, skilled and can work with a range of issues and different people. All counsellors have monthly supervision to ensure they are following ethical guidelines and working safely with their clients. Many are specialised in at least 1 or more areas such as Trauma, Anxiety and Depression and they have continuing professional development (CPD) each to year to keep their knowledge focused and up to date.

We currently have 8 counsellors providing sessions over zoom, telephone, face to face and Art Therapy.
