We have teamed up with Frag from the Buxton Civic Association to create the Woodland Wanders sessions. The woodland wanders allows the opportunity of our beneficiary groups to explore the landscape in a safe environment.  Activities are child led and include practical activities such as den building to create interaction and interest of the surroundings while embracing the benefits of the outdoors.

Frag has been involved with all things outdoors for 30 years. Frags interested started since being an inner-city child playing outdoors and then getting involved with Cubs and Scouts. Frag has explored many places around the world from on top of mountains to various Caves. One of Frags most memorable moments during outdoor activities is exploring the caves of Nepal and coming face to face with a massive spider!

We wanted to find out more about Frag and some of his favourite moments plus goals for all things outdoor activities.

• What do you prefer mountains or the sea? Mountains.
• Where would you like to visit and explore? I want to explore and visit South America.
• What is your most memorable moment while outdoors? To see a sunrise temperature inversion.
• What should people do to get and enjoy the outdoors? You need to lose your worries and push yourselves. Would love to see people to learn the countryside code and help them develop the respect of nature. This will help you learn, respect, and understand nature as we have moved away from the natural world and lost the connection. I want to see people to break the barriers and see people enjoy the surroundings.
• What can you expect on the Woodland Wanders sessions? You will have adventures, stories and sometimes mud depending on the weather! You will also get the best jokes too. I own the littlest newt in the world, its my newt.
